Review the workstation setup for the selected working arrangement.

Review whether your equipment is suitable for regular DSE use.
Rest Breaks and Eye Examination
i
Arrange or request an eyesight test if needed.

Review whether your glasses are suitable for display screen work.
i
Plan regular changes of activity or short breaks away from the screen.
Keyboards
i
Use a separate keyboard where needed.
i
Create space in front of the keyboard and avoid resting wrists on sharp edges.
i
Adjust the keyboard angle or position.
i
Clean or replace the keyboard if key characters are unclear.
Keyboard Posture
Review the DSE training guidance and adjust keyboard posture to avoid stretching, leaning or unsupported back posture.

Adjust screen, chair, keyboard or desk layout to improve posture.
Mouse and Pointing Devices

Consider an alternative pointing device if it causes discomfort.

Bring the pointing device closer and keep the arm relaxed.

Reposition the mouse or try an ergonomic device.

Adjust chair, desk or device position to support the forearm.

Adjust display settings or report screen issues.

Adjust the chair so your back is supported, feet are stable and arms are relaxed.

Review heating, cooling or ventilation.

Discomfort
